Dear MSN Space user,

I have been disgruntled today, assaulted, as it were, by your internet minefield known simply as your “MSN space”. The use of luminous green background on even more luminous green text, something akin to if a thousand suns suddenly felt a bit queesy, caused me to be catapulted backwards against my wall, severely damaging my railgun, but also my torrent server and guitar. The blinding also result in a severe stubbed toe (which, if my lawyer informs me correctly, can yield up to several billion dollars in “mental anguish” in the US.)

As a result, I request one pair of eyeballs, since the warranty on my own pair has expired. Generally it’s not too important what kind they are, I would prefer deeply dark brown, as to co-ordinate with my hair, but whatever you manage will function for me.

Normally I attempt with vigour to avoid such sites, dreading the self-confessed design indulgence places like myspace give its users, resulting in deathly damaging images and causing my speakers to make me endour the most horrendous of noise the average teen girl considers “music”. I have taken to surfing myspace when only wearing sunglasses, blaring some hard music and if possible, donning rubber gloves. However, yours snuck up on me, as if it were some sort of e-cheetah, before pouncing on my mind.

I realise that malicious intent was likely not within your actions, however, I must stress that eyes are somewhat of importance in my life. You may at one point have enjoyed a pair yourself, and witnessed, which you may have been able to with the eyes you possessed, how much use they can be. For example, headshots would only become possible if I continued to hone my sixth sense “gamer skill”, which while it’s an impressive party trick, doesn’t quite compensate for seeing the screen.

(OK, wanna know “wtf” before you get creeped out? I’m avoiding revision for a maths exam I have tomorrow, and while I was sitting here I suddenly wondered if bill gates and microsoft actually had some sort of solid fan club. I know at least one windows fanboy who’s hardcore about it (He saved up money for months to buy Windows Server 2003, to put on his server which was happily running debian, I always tell him he payed for a downgrade, and my girlfriend just physically laughs in his face.) That led to “bill gates fans” and “gates-o-phile” being jammed into google, and MSN searches and other fun things which aren’t maths revision, which led to me clicking on your MSN spaces page. In the end this seems like the most creepy voyeur stalkerish email out of the blue ever, but for some reason I haven’t deleted it yet. I’m debating with myself whether I should actually hit “send” and whether it’ll end in some sort of restraining order. Eh, I think I will, on the possibility it’ll give you a cheap laugh at my expense. Whoever you are, hope you have a good day.)

It is, how you say… an apocalypse. It’s great that Billy will keep doing great things with his foundation, and that he’s not the greedy bastard so many people think he is. I’m happy and excited for him, but it’s too bad that I won’t get to rule the world with him — I mean work side by side with him…

Okay, so I am up early/late, as usual, and the X-Files just finished it’s weekly Tuesday/Wednesday marathon on TNT. Then, I noticed there was this movie Antitrust coming on. It didn’t sound interesting from the title. But then, I thought about it… and it sounded familiar. I knew I had never seen it, but I knew I had read something about it before. Then the movie starts, and I see a shitload of HTML scroll on the screen, so I knew it had to be some sort of computer-y movie. Then *lightbulb*, and i go to Wikipedia and look up Bill Gates. I scroll down until I see something about things that feature likenesses and representations of him, and what do I find? None other than the movie, Antitrust.

Apparently, the head dude of the company NURV (or something) bears a striking resemblence to Billy.

And he does.

I looked up the Wikipedia entry for it after I was done looking at the Billy one.

And I was just skimming the page, then closed it, but i see RIGHT after i click the ‘x’ and RIGHT before it closed, the name, Miguel de Icaza.

Needless to say (if you know who he is and why I care so much), I scrambled to get back to that page.

This is what it has to say: Miguel de Icaza makes a cameo appearance. Behind the scenes, Miguel assisted in designing the computer screenshots (in GNOME) used in the movie.

So, I was excited. (If you don’t know, you don’t want to know, and you won’t know). Let me tell you, unless he showed up somewhere again, his cameo appearance is very, very, VERY brief. lol.

But, I LURVE this movie for some reason. It was just really fun. So, I am automagically making it ‘appear’.

It’s a good movie, and everyone should see it, just because it’s cool.
